DB Shrinker

DBShrinker offers 4 methods to shrink your database.

Remove Images: Remove Images is the least invasive of the shrinking options and does not require a plugin for Act! in order to see your data. Only images are removed and the remainder of your details are left intact. This is most useful for pasted emails that have signature, or other unwanted or unnecessary graphics.

RTF/HTML Removal: RTF/HTML Removal goes a step further than Remove Images, in that it converts RTF or HTML formatted note or history details to plain text. This also removes images, but saves database space by removing extraneous formatting codes that RTF and HTML require.

Please note that editing a note or history will reformat it back to HTML, the current Act!
formatting method. However, you can run this method again if your database continues to grow.

Images to Links: 'Images to Links' leaves all current formatting in place, but moves all images to the database's Attachment folder. Hyperlinks are placed into your details and can be accessed by using CTRL-CLICK on the link provided.

NOTE: This method requires the use of an Act! plugin, which can be downloaded below, in
order to access your images.

Archive Older Than:  the Archiver removes ALL text, images and formatting to the database's Attachment folder. Hyperlinks are placed into your details and can be accessed by using CTRL-CLICK on the link provided. For Notes, one line of text will be shown to give the user an idea of what the note is regarding.

NOTE: This method requires the use of an Act! plugin, which can be downloaded below, in
order to access your details.
